Technology Literacy Assessment

Each year all 8th grade schools in Rhode Island are required to take a computer literacy Assessment to assess the students knowledge and skills as it relates to computer literacy.  As a Technology Educator teaching for the cumberland school deparment, I am required to teach computer literacy as part of the middle school curriculum.  However, there is a difference between computer literacy and Technology Education.  My aproach to teaching computer literacy is to combine both the knowledge and skills of using computers with the problem solving aproach to Technology Education.
